As Brazil enters a new era of terrestrial television with the commercial launch of DTV+, the broadcast industry is moving rapidly toward more immersive, personalized and software-defined workflows.

At SET Expo 2026 in São Paulo, August 17–20, Fraunhofer IIS will showcase a first fully cloud-based, DTV+-compliant end-to-end workflow, demonstrating how MPEG-H Audio, cloud infrastructure, encoding and streaming technologies can come together to support next-generation television services in Brazil.

As part of this showcase, Marquise Technologies will preview new capabilities for real-time monitoring of the live DTV+ signal, combining advanced video and MPEG-H Audio analysis in a single environment. From HDR10 video to immersive and personalized audio and its associated metadata, the solution gives broadcasters a comprehensive view of the live service and the viewer experience.

Particular emphasis is placed on MPEG-H Audio, enabling monitoring of immersive and personalized audio experiences, supporting MPEG-H metadata and interactive audio features. The solution brings together live signal monitoring, advanced audio analysis and visualization in a single environment, helping operators verify not only whether the signal is conformed, but whether the complete user experience is being delivered as intended.

This capability is especially relevant to the Brazilian market as DTV+ rolls out nationwide. MPEG-H Audio is the Next Generation Audio system for Brazil’s new television standard, enabling immersive sound, dialogue enhancement, personalization and accessibility features.

The SET Expo demonstration will highlight how these capabilities fit into a modern broadcast chain spanning – live production, MPEG-H contribution, metadata processing and monitoring.

Visit Fraunhofer IIS at SET Expo 2026 to experience the preview and discover how next-generation live monitoring can support the transition to DTV+ and beyond.
