New: ADM EBU Production Profile

MIST Studio now supports workflows centered around the ADM EBU Production Profile, enabling the creation, packaging, rendering, QC and validation of immersive and personalized audio content in an open and standardized format.
This provides a practical workflow for exchanging NGA content between production facilities, broadcasters, technology providers and other parts of the media supply chain.

See how MIST Studio can be used to edit and repackage ADM/S-ADM content and convert between NGA technologies and standardized delivery profiles, including the EBU Production Profile, ITU-R BS.2168 AdvSS Emission Profile and ARIB emission workflows.

NHK S-ADM to MPEG-H workflow demonstration

NHK and Marquise Technologies will jointly demonstrate an end-to-end live broadcast chain, from S-ADM creation and transport through processing and integration into an MPEG-H workflow adapted to Japanese needs and regulatory requirements.

At the EBU booth, visitors can see file-based workflows centered around the creation and validation of the ADM EBU Production Profile using MIST Studio.

The demonstration focuses on the use of this open and standardized ADM format for the business exchange of immersive and personalized audio content, as well as a variety of compatible ADM profiles for broadcast emission and encoding.

MPEG-H Live QC & Validation

At the Fraunhofer IIS booth, ICE Live demonstrates real-time monitoring of MPEG-H signals, including different presets and languages, interactive features such as dialogue enhancement and object positioning, and the associated metadata — all synchronized with HDR video.

This reflects a fundamental change in broadcast monitoring: operators increasingly need to validate not only the technical integrity of a signal, but also the complete experience delivered to the viewer.

HDR and JPEG XS: mastering the image

While NGA is a major focus at IBC, video remains at the heart of the workflow.

Visitors to the Marquise Technologies booth will also see demonstrations around JPEG XS, including file-based workflows for emerging broadcast applications.

With MIST Studio, JPEG XS content can be integrated into professional mastering workflows, while ICE Studio and ICE Prime provide reference playback, analysis and QC capabilities for validating the resulting content.

Cinema Preservation Package: from mastering to preservation

We will also showcase how MIST Studio supports the Cinema Preservation Package (CPP).

The Cinema Preservation Package provides a standardized framework for the long-term preservation and exchange of digital cinema works, covering use cases ranging from the creation of preservation packages at the end of post-production to the transfer of film elements, variants and associated metadata between service providers and archives.

MIST supports CPP workflows by enabling the creation, management and validation of the audiovisual assets and metadata that form the package, integrating preservation requirements directly into professional mastering and archival workflows.

This extends the role of mastering beyond today’s delivery requirements — providing a structured way to prepare and validate content for its long-term preservation and future reuse.
